Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Comfort patients before and after procedures, explain treatment plans clearly, and ensure a positive office experience.
- Radiography: Perform and process dental X-rays (radiographs) following safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and disinfection procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Inventory Management: Order and maintain dental supplies, ensuring the operatory is fully stocked at all times.
- Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate patient charts, medical histories, and treatment records.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
- Certification: Current X-ray certification (RPHR) required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) is a plus.
- Flexibility: Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing schedules.
