Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow (4-handed dentistry).
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images as directed.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Greet patients, update medical histories, and educate them on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting.
- Certification as a CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) is preferred.
- Current CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and communication.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus but not required.
