Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Assist dentists during complex treatments using proper infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records and maintain organized digital charting systems
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical equipment per OSHA standards
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Coordinate with front desk to optimize patient flow and scheduling efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or diploma from accredited program
- Current CPR certification and radiology license (NC required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies
