Responsibilities
- Chairside Support: Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a sterile and safe environment.
- Patient Management: Greet patients warmly, update health histories, and ensure a comfortable experience before and after treatment.
- Digital Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral X-rays, ensuring accurate image capture and processing.
- Laboratory Duties: Prepare temporary crowns, pour models, and fabricate dental appliances as directed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of dental materials and order supplies to maintain clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB certification or state license required.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar practice management software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient positioning when necessary.
