Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and other diagnostic images as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and scheduling appointments.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene techniques.
- Perform chair-side sterilization and maintain a sterile environment.
- Process insurance claims and handle front desk administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Current Dental Assistant registration or certification in Indiana.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
