Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and dental hygienists during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and dental impressions accurately.
- Provide compassionate patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area for our valued patients.
- Assist with front desk tasks including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
