As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in the revenue cycle management process. You will ensure that healthcare providers are reimbursed efficiently and accurately by managing patient data, processing complex insurance claims, and resolving billing discrepancies with precision.
Responsibilities
- Accurately submit and follow up on medical insurance claims (ICD-10, CPT coding).
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to rendering services.
- Review denied or rejected claims and perform necessary appeals to secure reimbursement.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and billing databases with high accuracy.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Billing or Coding is preferred.
- Willingness to participate in our structured paid training program to master medical billing software.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (35+ wpm).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
