Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and proper ergonomics.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization, disinfection, and infection control protocols.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, take and develop digital X-rays, and update patient records accurately.
- Front Desk Support: Greet patients warmly, manage appointments, and assist with insurance verification when needed.
- Lab Work: Fabricate temporary crowns and perform other necessary dental laboratory duties.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or Dental Assistant certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- License: Valid Michigan Dental Assistant license.
- Skills: Proficient in four-handed dentistry and digital imaging systems (e.g., Dexis, Schick).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
