Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Provide expert support to the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures, and educate them on post-treatment care with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and sterilization protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and develop digital X-rays, impressions, and model casts accurately.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, process insurance claims, and maintain accurate inventory of dental supplies.
- Oral Health Education: Promote good oral hygiene habits to patients of all ages.
Qualifications
- Certification: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program and current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in clinical and administrative tasks.
