Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging materials, and ensuring equipment is sanitized and ready for patient use.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by providing hand instruments, suction, and maintaining a clear field of vision.
  • Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) following strict safety and radiation protocols.
  • Manage patient records, update dental charts accurately, and maintain electronic health records (EHR).
  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and guide them through the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide detailed post-operative care instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program is preferred.
  • Certification or Licensure as a Dental Assistant (RDA) and Radiography certification for Arizona is required.
