Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images as directed by the dentist.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records, insurance paperwork, and appointment scheduling accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
- Greet patients warmly, verify information, and assist with check-in/check-out processes.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or active Nevada State Dental Assistant License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in a dental practice setting (1+ years preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates).
- Proficiency with dental software and imaging systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
