Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop intraoral and extraoral dental radiographs (X-rays) according to safety protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized, and infection-free environment.
- Guide patients through their dental experience, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed.
- Perform vital sign monitoring and take preliminary impressions for study models.
- Update patient medical records accurately and confidentially.
Qualifications
- Current and active Dental Assistant license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (or equivalent experience).
- Certification in Radiography (or ability to obtain within 6 months) is highly preferred.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards.
