Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and operatory rooms.
- Patient Management: Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and provide post-operative care instructions.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop intraoral and extraoral X-rays, and perform preliminary impressions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and process insurance claims accurately.
- Front Desk Support: Greet patients, manage appointment schedules, and answer phone inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) license required.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and digital imaging technology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays if required.
