Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Provide expert support to the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Patient Management: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and manage patient records and medical histories accurately.
- Diagnostics: Perform and process digital X-rays, take impressions, and fabricate temporary crowns as needed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
- Oral Health Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supply levels and assist in ordering necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene/Assisting.
- Licensure: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the State of Oregon is required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern digital radiography equipment.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
