Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with efficiency and care.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort throughout their visit.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral images.
- Sterilization: Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
- Administrative: Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure clinic readiness.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; entry-level candidates with externship experience considered.
- Licensure: Current North Carolina Dental Assistant license (RDH or DANB certified preferred).
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
