Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, providing four-handed dentistry and ensuring patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and prepare required documentation.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and home care.
- Handle inventory management for dental supplies and report shortages promptly.
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, OpenDental).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
