Responsibilities
- Chair-side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring the patient is comfortable and the procedure runs smoothly.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for exams, and explain treatment plans in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Diagnostics: Capture and process digital X-rays (radiographs) accurately following safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and sanitation standards in the operatory and instrument processing areas.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure the clinic is fully equipped.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment histories.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental software and modern dental equipment.
- License: Valid Arizona dental assisting license.
