Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiography) and intraoral photographs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment plans.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and explain post-operative care instructions.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed.
Qualifications
- DANB Certified or equivalent state dental assisting certification.
- Current State of District of Columbia Dental Assistant license.
- Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience in a dental practice.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
