Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment is ready for use.
- Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral x-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Patient Care: Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and treatment plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and process insurance documentation.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Nevada State Dental Assistant License (RDA).
- Certification: Radiography certification (or willing to obtain) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
