Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare instruments, tray set-ups, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Take and process digital X-rays, cephalograms, and intraoral photos.
- Greet patients, update medical histories, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the dental practice management software.
- Assist with inventory management and sterilization processes.
Qualifications
- Current California RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and clinical procedures.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
