Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper sterilization of equipment
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for procedures
- Document all surgical activities and instrument counts accurately
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
