Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records and assist with scheduling.
- Provide chairside assistance to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or equivalent.
- Valid state license (if required by Kentucky board).
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to infection control protocols.
