Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist with chair-side procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Expose and process dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision.
- Take and update accurate patient health histories and vital signs.
- Guide patients through dental procedures and explain post-operative care instructions.
- Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent is required.
- Current DANB or state radiography certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a positive demeanor.
