Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including examinations, fillings, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient records using our digital dental software system
- Provide chairside assistance and comfort to anxious patients
- Oversee inventory ordering and supply management
- Perform laboratory tasks including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain clean, organized, and infection-free treatment rooms
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong communication skills with patients and team members
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
