Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient positioning
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage infection control through sterilization, disinfection, and OSHA compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for optimal clinical efficiency
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create patient rapport
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks
- Basic computer proficiency for digital record management
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Valid California X-Ray license preferred (training provided)
