Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable dental experience.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and cross-infection control standards in the operatory.
- Dental Radiography: Take and process dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and safely.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and treatment histories.
- Front Desk Support: Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent certification (RDA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental setting is preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification and Pennsylvania Dental Radiography license.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft or similar) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
