Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations, procedures, and surgeries (four-handed dentistry).
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and create dental impressions.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor skills.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
