Job Summary:

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our dental operations. You will work closely with our dentists to ensure smooth patient flow, provide chair-side assistance, and maintain the highest standards of sterilization and infection control.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout the appointment.
  • Chair-side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, handing instruments and materials efficiently.
  • Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (digital preferred) following safety protocols.
  • Sterilization: Maintain strict adherence to infection control guidelines and sterilize instruments and equipment after every use.
  • Administrative: Manage patient records, update charts, process insurance claims, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Oral Health Education: Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene guidance.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program and current DANB (or equivalent) certification.
  • Licensure: Current PDA (Pennsylvania Dental Assistant) license required.
  • CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
