Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Support the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, procedures, and cleanings with precision and efficiency.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines regarding sterilization, disinfection, and safety protocols.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photographs for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Patient Management: Guide patients through the intake process, explain procedures, and ensure a positive, calming experience.
- Instrument Preparation: Properly set up operatories with all necessary instruments and materials before each appointment.
- Record Keeping: Accurately update patient charts and medical histories using our digital practice management software.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor stock levels of supplies and place orders for necessary dental materials.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB (or state equivalent) certification required; RDA preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry or multi-specialty practice.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a significant plus.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in sterilization and charting.
