Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment according to strict hygiene standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform intraoral examinations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant license in New Jersey.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, OpenDental) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Detailed-oriented with excellent time management abilities.
