Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and determine acuity levels using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate critical patient information to physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EMR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding care plans and next steps
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 2 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid assessment techniques and emergency protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate high-stress situations
- Proficiency in Epic or comparable EMR systems
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
- BSN preferred or commitment to obtain within 12 months
