Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during a variety of clinical procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative work.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnosis.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts using our advanced software.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to ensure an efficient office environment.
- Order and maintain adequate inventory of dental supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) license.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or GED required.
