Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist with various procedures, including but not limited to fillings, crowns, and cleanings, ensuring efficiency and precision.
- Patient Care: Guide patients through their treatment plans, explain procedures clearly, and ensure their comfort during visits.
- Instrument Management: Perform proper sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images as required by the doctor.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and order dental supplies and materials to ensure the office runs smoothly.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry or cosmetic dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in taking X-rays (intraoral and extraoral) and operating digital radiography equipment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, patient-centered demeanor.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and Saturdays as needed.
