Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Sterilize instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited institution
- Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Valid North Carolina dental radiography permit
