Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and assist in diagnostic imaging
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and insurance verification
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies/equipment
- Collaborate with specialists and support staff to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license required
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to ease patient anxiety
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
