Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage patient intake, digital charting, and treatment documentation using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Capture diagnostic radiographs and interpret preliminary imaging results
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care protocols
- Coordinate inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays, CBCT) and infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification and willingness to maintain current
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for high-volume practice
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and equipment maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
