Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical diagnoses/procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Submit clean claims to commercial payers and government programs (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Conduct patient billing inquiries with empathy and precision
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and audit trails
- Collaborate with clinical teams for charge capture optimization
- Generate monthly reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience (physician billing preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in claim scrubbing and denial analysis
