Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies to ensure operational readiness
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain equipment calibration and sterilization documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in general OR setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical terminology and procedure protocols
- Current BLS certification with willingness to obtain ACLS
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
