Responsibilities

  • Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
  • Diagnostics: Perform accurate intraoral and extraoral X-rays using digital imaging technology.
  • Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and arrange instruments and materials required for dental procedures.
  • Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and provide post-operative instructions to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and treatment histories.
  • Lab Duties: Assist with taking impressions, fabricating temporary crowns, and pouring models.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.
  • Licensure: Valid and active Texas state dental assistant license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry or cosmetic dentistry setting.
