Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown placements
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Take accurate patient medical histories and vital signs
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate seamless communication between clinical and administrative teams
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Texas State Dental Assistant Radiography License
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
