Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and cleanings.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) and process them accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
- Ensure the dental operatory is organized, clean, and fully stocked at all times.
- Assist in various administrative tasks such as insurance verification and file management.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state license required.
- Current Radiography certification in the state of Arizona.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor skills with precision.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
