Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiology license required).
- Perform chair-side assisting duties, including suctioning, retracting, and applying rubber dams.
- Take accurate impressions and bite registrations for crowns and orthodontics.
- Manage patient records, update health histories, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Guide patients through post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Current Florida Radiology license and DANB (or equivalent) certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Relevant experience in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
