Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and managing chairside support.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and process digital X-rays, impressions, and study models accurately.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and operatory spaces.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake forms, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Operatory Management: Prepare and stock dental instruments and materials for daily procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program and hold current CDA or RDA credentials.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in clinical documentation.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using dental software and digital radiography equipment.
