Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures, anticipating needs.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and operatories.
- Handle front desk tasks including scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Current and active California RDA license (DANB certification preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and infection control standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient comfort and trust.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
