Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform clinical duties including taking and developing digital X-rays, impressions, and topical anesthetic administration.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating medical histories and processing insurance paperwork.
- Schedule patient appointments and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent experience.
- DANB certification (RHS/ICE/CHS) preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant license.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well under pressure.
