Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols and cross-infection control standards to ensure a safe environment.
- Instrument Management: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for every patient according to safety guidelines.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and assist with digital imaging.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, verify insurance information, and handle front-desk administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and knowledge of modern dental materials.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a warm, patient-centric demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including some weekends if required.
