Responsibilities
- Assist Providers: Support dentists and hygienists during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety by explaining procedures and answering questions before and after treatments.
- Chairside Duties: Perform 4-handed dentistry, including suctioning, rinsing, and maintaining the operating field.
- Imaging: Take and develop dental X-rays (XCP) and digital impressions as required.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Admin: Manage patient records, update charts accurately, and process insurance claims.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and intraoral cameras.
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
