Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient positioning
- Capture diagnostic X-rays and develop dental films with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting with Dentrix software
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Provide post-operative instructions and compassionate patient education
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA status
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized institution
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with Dentrix Eaglesoft software preferred
