Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction, and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and patient comfort in mind
- Maintain sterile environment: sterilize instruments, manage infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and digital dental software for seamless workflow
- Manage patient scheduling and post-procedure care instructions
- Assist with dental inventory management and ordering supplies
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or registered in Texas
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside manner and ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
