Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient monitoring
- Capture and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for procedures
- Take accurate dental impressions for study models and prosthetics
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, charting, and inventory management
- Provide compassionate patient education on post-operative care
Qualifications
- Current RDA/CDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Expertise in dental radiography techniques
- Proficiency in digital charting systems (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification maintained
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
